Ephemera
A circus generated numerous examples of ephemera – costumes, handbills, programs, tickets, letterheads, trade cards, diaries and magazines. Occasionally, circus people wrote accounts of circus life or their own biographies. Unfortunately, few examples of ephemera have survived the years.
